St. Mark's Lutheran School
 
 Since being established in 1878, St. Mark’s Lutheran School has educated thousands of students from Steeleville and the surrounding area. Over 130 years of strong academic, spiritual, and co-curricular excellence have been enjoyed by St. Mark's students; thanks to St. Mark's many dedicated pastors, principals and teachers through the years.  Currently serving around 160 students, St. Mark's is accredited through National Lutheran Schools Acreditation and recognized by the state of Illinois.

    Latch Key Program

    This program is for the parents of the students in attendance at St. Mark's Lutheran School who need to drop off their children prior to the start of school and/or are unable to pick up their students after the normal dismissal of school.

     

    Hot Lunch Program

    St. Mark's Lutheran School offers a "Class A" type lunch program each full day of school.  This program meets all federal and state requirements.  St. Mark's Lutheran School enjoys an excellent reputation in the Steeleville community in regards to the lunch it provides its students.

     

    Transportation

    Bus transportation is provided by Steeleville Public School District #138 for students within the district.

     

    Parent - Teacher League (P.T.L.)

    Each parent of St. Mark's Lutheran School is entitled to membership to the P.T.L., which provides many resources to the school.

     

    Tuition

    A yearly registration fee is charged to each student that enrolls at St. Mark's Lutheran School.  Tuition can be paid in full at registration or a monthly payment plan is available.  Financial aid opportunities exist for those students with a demonstrated financial need.  Financial aid is handled on a case by case basis as funds allow.  To find out the current tuition rate and registration fee at St. Mark's, please contact the school office at 618-965-3838.
